In review present up-to-date information about history, epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics, differential diagnosis, disease course, prevention and treatment of critical illness polyneuromyopathy.</p> <p> </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Полиневромиопатия критических состояний – это приобретенный вследствие критического состояния синдром нервно-мышечных нарушений по типу полиневропатии и/или миопатии, обусловленный длительной иммобилизацией больного, клинически проявляющийся общей мышечной слабостью и являющийся основной причиной затруднений в прекращении искусственной вентиляции легких (ИВЛ).
