Main mechanism of the CAM development is suggested to be abnormalities of protein synthesis in muscle fibers. A complex clinical, morphological and biochemical investigation of 38 patients with chronic alcohol intoxication was performed. Clinical manifestations of skeletal muscle damage corresponded to severity of the atrophic process assessed by histological studies of muscle biopsies. Disturbances of main stages of protein synthesis both on intracellular and on systemic regulatory level was revealed.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
Выявлено нарушение основных звеньев синтеза белка, как на внутриклеточном, так и на системном уровне регуляции.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>chronic alcohol myopathy</kwd><kwd>protein synthesis</kwd><kwd>insulin-like growth factor I</kwd><kwd>protein electrophoresis</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>хроническая алкогольная миопатия</kwd><kwd>синтез белка</kwd><kwd>инсулиноподобный фактор роста I</kwd><kwd>электрофорез белков</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Estruch R., Sacanella E., Fernandez-Sola J. et al.
