According to MRI, 20 patients were diagnosed with venous infarction, and 64 patients were diagnosed with arterial infarction. Venous strokes developed more frequently in patients at a relatively young age and in females. The clinical picture of venous stroke is characterized by subacute and slow development of clinical manifestations; prevalence of cerebral symptoms over focal symptoms; symptoms indicative of cerebral venous discirculation; a tendency towards relatively rapid regression of cerebral symptoms. According to MRI, the localization of infarction in venous stroke does not coincide with territories of blood supply to the main intracranial arteries; the form of foci is irregular, and their contours are rough and indistinct; signs of cerebral venous discirculation, intracranial venous stasis, and vasogenic edema are visualized.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обследованы 84 пациента с клиническими проявлениями острого нарушения мозгового кровообращения (ОНМК). У 20 пациентов методами МРТ диагностирован венозный инфаркт, у 64 пациентов – артериальный инфаркт. Венозные инсульты чаще развивались у пациентов в относительно молодом возрасте и у женщин. Клиническая картина венозного инсульта характеризуется: подострым, медленным развитием клинических проявлений; преобладанием общемозговой симптоматики над очаговой; наличием симптомов, свидетельствующих о венозной церебральной дисциркуляции; наличием тенденции к относительно быстрому регрессу общемозговой симптоматики. По данным МРТ, при венозном инсульте локализация инфаркта не совпадает с «бассейнами» кровоснабжения магистральных интракраниальных артерий; форма очагов неправильная, а контуры неровные и нечеткие; визуализируются признаки церебральной венозной дисциркуляции, интракраниального венозного застоя и вазогенного отека.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>venous stroke</kwd><kwd>neurological deficit</kwd><kwd>functional status</kwd><kwd>magnetic resonance imaging</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>венозный инсульт</kwd><kwd>неврологический дефицит</kwd><kwd>функциональное состояние</kwd><kwd>магнитно-резонансная томография</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Ананьева Н.И., Трофимова Т.Н.
